Our Recent K&A Cares Activities

Over the last year, our employees have been involved in several heartwarming K&A Cares activities. Here are a few highlights:

Our Substation and Civil Design teams hiked down Chandragiri, one of the highest hills (8333 ft above sea level) surrounding the Kathmandu Valley, while diligently picking up trash on the trail. The trail is frequently used, but it is also quite rugged. Due to its proximity to the urban center, many people visit yearly, resulting in littering. Our teams worked hard to improve the trail's appearance, making it a more beautiful and enjoyable place for everyone.

Our Distribution Design Team donated essential kitchen supplies, including cooking oil, lentils, rice, school materials, and games to bring smiles and support these wonderful kids at the SCIF NEPAL orphanage in Chobar, Nepal. These supplies will help to provide the children with the nourishment they need to thrive. 

Our DER team tackled the Champadevi trail to collect trash despite the rain and the challenging ascent to enhance the trail's beauty and create a better experience for all that hike up!

Our IT, Project Controls, and Operations teams visited Nisahaya Sewa Sadan, a nonprofit organization in Kathmandu, Nepal, that has been a beacon of hope for older people since 1991.

This center provides solace and support to 41 elderly individuals who would otherwise face many hardships without external assistance. Our team came together to offer essential items and supplies like cooking utensils and oil, basic medical supplies, and kitchen essentials that would alleviate some of the organization's operational challenges.
