MBE of Choice

K&A is a privately-owned, Nationally Certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) providing comprehensive consulting, engineering and design, program/project management, construction management, and support services to utility and industrial clients.

At the age of 9 and 12,000 km from where we are today, the dream began. As a small boy quite in a rural town a fair distance from Kathmandu, Purna Kharel dreamed of owning his own business.

He recognized the right education was critical to realizing this. Purna was accepted into the top engineering school in Nepal. Then he was accepted at Wichita State University and obtained his master’s in electrical engineering. K&L Engineering Consulting, P.C. was formed in October 2016, supporting a major Northeast Utility client with PMO and engineering services. In 2019, K&L was renamed to K&A.
